Western Installations has focused on commercial interiors since 2012, working from Pickering, Ontario. Our work is the coordination between scopes — the part of a project that decides whether it opens as planned.

Our Approach

An interior is a sequence, not a set of trades.

Drawings describe a finished condition. Getting there means hundreds of small decisions in the right order, with the right information, at the right moment.

We engage early where we can, because the least expensive place to solve a problem is in planning. Scope, constructability, permitting requirements and material lead times are reviewed before work reaches the site.

Regulated scopes are delivered with appropriately licensed trade partners, and engineered or stamped design remains with the applicable design professionals. Our role is to hold the whole sequence together and stay accountable for it.

How We Think About Projects

Four habits that shape every build-out.

  1. 01

    Understand the constraint before the scope

    Every project has one thing that actually governs it — an opening date, a permit path, a long-lead material, an occupied neighbour. Identifying it early shapes everything after.

  2. 02

    Resolve on paper first

    Constructability, interfaces and sequencing are reviewed before mobilization, because problems solved in drawings cost a fraction of problems solved on site.

  3. 03

    Coordinate the seams

    Most interior delays occur at handoffs between trades. Those seams are planned, watched and adjusted throughout the build.

  4. 04

    Finish the last five percent deliberately

    Punch lists, testing, deficiencies and documentation are managed as a defined stage of the project, not as leftover work.

Site-specific planning, licensed trade partners for regulated scopes, coordinated inspection milestones and documentation maintained through closeout. Safety requirements are built into the schedule rather than handled around it.

Programs across more than one location.
